Dear Friend,

As I am typing all this out, I am not ashamed to say I am in tears.
And it doesn't matter how close we are. Today, I just want to say I love you.

Thank you for making an impact in my life. I will miss this place dearly, despite it being a tiny red dot compared to the place I'm heading back to. Nearly 15 years it has been since I've stayed here and for once, I'm going to say that I am proud to have been a resident. Sadly, things have gotten out of control for me. So much out of control, that I have been forced to migrate back to my home in Melbourne and restricted (not because of an offence I've committed but something confidential ) in a way from coming back to Singapore ever again. I really can't bear to leave. I grew up here for fuck's sake. I even had my life all figured and planned out from date till death here. But in exactly a month's time I will lose my dream and most importantly you, my friend. Although I may still be able to communicate with you through facebook and live messenger, it's not the same feeling as talking, joking around and seeing each other in real life. Loneliness is a scary thing. The thought of going there alone is enough to kill me. It's going to be hard to make friends there because lets face the fact - skin colour does play a part and I know because I visit my grandparents there every year. (The ang moh's in Australia see us as we see bangalas in Singapore.) No more 'hor, ha, lor, la, lei" how to live leh you tell me?! No more shopping and just chilling in town, no more late nights with my homies, no Sentosa, no Pasir ris, no school, NOTHING. It's going to be a lonely and long journey, this life of my mine from here onwards.

At this point of time I want to tell you that if you're studying, don't go 'fuck the teachers for giving homework, fuck the exams and fuck school' because school is actually the time in your life where you have the most fun and even more importantly, find people who care about you other than family.

Goodbye Singapore, goodbye my memories and goodbye my Friend.

I hope you will always remember me for who and what I am as much I will remember each and every one of you who made a difference in my life.

I will miss you.

The actual date of my departure will be around the 1st of April 2010. Till then, do make some time for to us meet up and share a last moment together.

Been surfing the net these two days. Caught sight of a couple of interesting guitars and videos about what Jesus would be like if he was in our modern time.

1.

The Centrefold guitar (I thought it was a vacuum cleaner at first). Invented by a pilot who was a guitarist himself and got sick of banging up regular guitars on his travels. The body parts? Aircraft grade aluminum. He ain't a pilot for nothing.

The NES Paul guitar (obviously got its idea from Les Paul). Made from a Japanese famicom using an entire Nintendo NES Console. Even the headstock is made from the controller.

The MADA guitar. The first guitar formed of molded *hemp pulp, rather than the traditional solid wood you get on expensive guitars, or the plastic/glue/wood pulp mix on cheap guitars. No carving of wood or any sort.

*hemp - tough, coarse fiber from a type of plant.

Dear Diary,
The first day of new year was great. I spent only 2 hours on the reunion lunch with my small family and was out with Suhaib, Mirah and Ifah the rest of the day. Father has been exceptionally nice to me for some reason, and I'm getting the goose bumps out of his behaviour. I still remembered the time he ticked me off in China saying " I let you go into the pub to drink, not to smoke, right! ". Hmm..

Ok back to why the first day is so great. In the afternoon, we went to eat KFC and I bought a meal that costs $4.80. I handed the Indian cashier a five. He returned me $5.20. LOL. At night we went to a mama shop and were about to pay for our food we'd gathered until the shop owner told us we were the first customers in that hour and everything we took was free. Wa.. Happy new year indeed :D

I was telling Hazim and Kristie about this Korean kid who can play the guitar like a freaking pro, and here he is:

Sungha Jung, aged 12. A prodigy I tell you. He started playing only at the age of 9, which was exactly when I started too, 3 years ago, but his skills are legendary. Even though I train everyday too, I'm nothing compared to him :(

There are certain sad songs he plays that makes me feel very emotional and thats what every good guitarist should hope to achieve; developing emotions to the audience. What an inspiration.

Pause the auto-playing song on my blog, and check this guy out.

Whats more astonishing is, he's already posted a hundred over songs of him playing on YouTube and has performed on stage with some of the greatest guitarists around.

He should just quit school and start a career as a performer giving world tours. Haha!

The good news is, I'm not back in 4e1! HOORAY OR WHAT?!?
The bad news is, I'm seperated from Jian Hong. Our timings for recess is different and he's the only one back in sec 4. And whats worse we were forced to drop our core subject because they do not have the syllabus anymore, which means we got to work even harder for the remaining subjects!

I went to get a haircut again even though it was already short, shaved, packed my bag and am all ready for school which starts tomorrow. Have an akward feeling right now..

Man, hearing people about starting school makes me miss school again. And sitting beside Syahrin. Even though he always asks me to shut up because I was always talking nonsense with him when we were in class :( Tried playing all the different asiasoft games to past time in the morning today and realised about 90% of the people online were also people who had nothing to do while waiting for the O's results. Everyone went " Oh! You also waiting for the results? Me too me too!" and "When is the results released? Scared or not?"

So we were in a big discussion and realised everybody had different information about when the results released; some said 9th,15th,19th and even one who said Feb. SO WHEN IS IT ?!?

Inal with my new guitar on the day I bought it. Damn, I can't wait to go jamming. Its been way long since I last did.

* Mum took 1500 photos from the China trip so..
I'll still take my time to sort which ones to post :)

I know its been a month but I finally sorted out the photos. *phew I was in none though. Take pictures with my kind of hair now?? WTF. Was in Hong Kong for a couple of days after China because there wasn't any direct plane from China to Singapore.

Yes, I'm back! Posting about the trip some time soon; yet to upload photos into the computer. But one thing's for sure. China was really not as bad as I expected. I mean, I like the country, but I still hate the people. HAHA.
